Day 51

Day 51 Reading – Leviticus Chapters 22-23

So Moses announced to the Israelites the appointed festivals of the LORD.
Leviticus 23:44 NIV

God establishes several holidays for the Israelites.

These holidays were to symbolize the special relationship that God had with the people.

Special Holidays remind us of the past.

They help us to remember and celebrate that which has happened in the past and look to the promise of what can happen in the future.

What if we approached every Sunday as a holiday?

Celebrating fully all that God has done in the past and renewing our hope for all that is yet to come.

Would our Sunday worship be different?

Would we approach it differently?

I think that was the plan … what happened?

I am a United Methodist Pastor and have the privilege of serving as the Senior Pastor for the church of my childhood. I preach in a place I once was an acolyte. I love to preach, but more importantly I love to teach. I firmly believe that Faith Matters and should affect how we live. This blog is a place where I come to share the randomness that is life and faith ... and the intersection of the two.
