Day 161

Today’s Reading – Proverbs Chapters 22-24

think-about-life.gifAs I read through the Proverbs, I can’t shake the image of the wise man sitting on the mountain top. Hundreds of people climbing to gain one piece of wisdom.

Along the path there is a sign:

Pay attention and turn your ear to the sayings of the wise; apply your heart to what I teach, for it is pleasing when you keep them in your heart and have all of them ready on your lips.   Proverbs 22:17-18

When they return having seen the same sign, they collect all the sayings and write them down so others might know and so that they might remember them.

Read the wisdom.

Apply the wisdom.

God will be pleased – that’s a promise.

Tomorrow’s Reading – I Kings 5-6 and 2 Chronicles 2-3

Author:

I am a United Methodist Pastor and have the privilege of serving as the Senior Pastor for the church of my childhood. I preach in a place I once was an acolyte. I love to preach, but more importantly I love to teach. I firmly believe that Faith Matters and should affect how we live. This blog is a place where I come to share the randomness that is life and faith ... and the intersection of the two.
