In His Steps … Fun day – Monday

As someone was over heard saying, “It was nice spending a day with out so much Jesus Stuff”

We began by visiting Masada (just google it).  Wow! The views were spectacular.  only 30 feet above sea level at the top, but considering the valley is 420 feet below Sea Level it is no wonder we were looking down on the Jet Fighter that flew by.

In reference to that side comment, it is really hard to avoid the Jesus stuff around here.  So since we were so close we dropped in to Qumran (again google it).  The opening in the canyon wall on the lower right of the picture below is where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.

We wrapped up our day be bathing (there is no swimming) in the Dead Sea.

This is no easy task, but once you get the hang of it – there is laughter and fun.

Just a day of floating and facials.

Interesting thought …

3 springs feed the Jordan River at the start … the waters flow into 2 Seas – Galilee and Dead.  Which are you?

As it was stated this week,  Be Galilee!

I am a United Methodist Pastor and have the privilege of serving as the Senior Pastor for the church of my childhood. I preach in a place I once was an acolyte. I love to preach, but more importantly I love to teach. I firmly believe that Faith Matters and should affect how we live. This blog is a place where I come to share the randomness that is life and faith ... and the intersection of the two.
